Guest mZimm Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 I just got a Shadow, my first Smarphone device, and love it so far. I really like the new "Neo" theme, but I feel that there is a lack of information on the "Home" screen. When you use the Default theme, you get text message and email notifiers and a quick notification of your WiFi status at the home screen. I'm new to phone modding, but am comfortable with registry hacks and everything on computers so I don't have a problem doing it on the phone, but I'm not sure how I would go about making something like this happen.
Guest Nightwind Hawk Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 I understand what you mean... it took me awhile to get used to the Shadow for notifications, but now that I see how it does it, it's really easy. On your home screen (i'm assuming you have the actual HOME screen, not myfaves), it displays the date, time and wi-fi status on the bottom. On the top, you have different icons that show you if you have a text, etc. You can then go to your inbox yourself, or scroll one down to Notifications and press OK to see the new item. Basically, what I'm trying to say is that everything is displayed at the top of the screen. if you don't like the ugly monochrome icons, then take a look here: http://shadowregistryhacks.blogspot.com/20...gin-update.html Also, check out the application "DontForget". It's a program that provides you of advanced ways of notifying you (such as LED light, popup boxes, etc.)
