Guest crazyc Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 As I am probably going to change to one of these two networks next month, does anyone have any views as to whether the proposed adjustments to the 2G spectrum that impacts upon Vodafone and O2 is something I need be concerned about? If so, do we know what the likely timescales are? (Don;t want to sign up for 18 months to find the network turns poor overnight.
Guest Monolithix Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 What adjustments are these? Also i'd be surprised if any network manages to make such changes "over night" :)

This stuff is currently restricted to 2G, and they want to open it up but via selling it. Am not very technically aware about all this, but I think that was the gist of it. I think the consultation ended at end of november 2007. I think tesco mobile was up in arms cos it was that bit that they used on O2.
