t9 problems with wm6

i have just bought a i-mate spl with wm6 (standard) from the US.. and i really wanted to add a swedish t9..

but i noticed that i cant even activate a english t9.. so i dont know if the phone has t9..

so my question, is it posible to add/activate t9 or xt9? and if so, is it possible to add swedish t9/xt9? and if it is, how?

I just bought a new i-mate spl on eBay. I am having the exact same problem. The manual says t9 is on the phone. Were you able to solve the problem? (I hope).

same here - haha ... when I emailed the seller about it, they guy said "Strange....1st time this issue came out....I sold personally over 400 peaces of this model"

... so no luck for you guys I'm guessing??

so did you also notice the lack of task manager, and an application lock so you can't edit the registry and install T9 languages even when you find them ......

On the bright side, WM6 is really fast on this phone, with no sign of freezing... haha ... pity about the RSI I'm going to develop writing text messages!

i have done some research... and this is what i came up with.

To install t9 you will have to do some registy changes or launch a app that makes these changes.

The problem is that the registry is locked on the wm6 version we have. And there is no AppUnlocker that can break this lock.

So the only thing you can do is to flash your spl too wm5.. See link:
