Guest Terry Austin Posted January 20, 2008 Report Posted January 20, 2008 Hi folks, Any idea how I can stop reminders from going off every day at 6:00 a.m. The phone is set to alarm at 7:00 but reminders for all-day events are going off much earlier. I seem to recall a 'business day begins/ends' definition somewhere but can't recall where I found it. Thoughts? My wife is ready to throw either me or the phone out of the bedroom at this point. She's NOT a morning person :-)

Guest salado Posted January 20, 2008 Report Posted January 20, 2008 its way esier to set/adjust these setting in outlook on your pc then sync it. in outlook uncheck the all day box, and assign the start/end times. as far as the reminder..if you want a reminder check mark the box and set it to 0 minutes for the reminder to activate exactly when your START time accurs. :)

Now THAT was helpful... Some actually are all day events. Had one happen this morning (Sunday). Reminded me at 6:00 a.m. Sunday about an event that happens Monday. Explain that one.

Explain that one its got to be your reminder is set to probally 18hours/1day/2day exct. in outlook on your pc just doubleclick the appointment on your callander then click the dropdown box for reminder time and select 0/5/10/15/30min/1hr/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9hr .....ECT if you dont want a reminder sound on your phone i think you can uncheck the reminder box in outlook and it shouldnt do a reminder sound on your phone, but i havnt personally tried it. did you have this reminder set as a recurrence appointment in outlook? ive noticed in order to change start/stop times i have to delete the reacurrance , edit the times/reminder then redue the recurrence.
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 You can change day start / end times using SKTools on Pocket PC, and I imagine in the Smartphone version too, not sure if this will resolve your issue tho? SKTools Standard: http://s-k-tools.com/index.html?sktools/m_standard.html P

Like I said, this one made no sense to me.
Guest salado Posted January 24, 2008 Report Posted January 24, 2008 hahha well if it was a single non-reacurring event it shouldnt happen again, haha. hopefully.. i have alot of events in my calander and they are very helpful but somtimes they can be annoying espically if you accidently forget to set the event alarm accordingy and the dang thing goes off in the middle of the night or durring a time when your doing somthing else.
