Guest Paul (MVP) Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 It there's one thing that drives me nuts on the Touch Dual it's that closing the slide doesn't end calls. I'm not entirely sure who decided that was a good idea, but they need shooting :) I do remember that once upon a time Motorola had a patent on 'ending a call by closing a flip' or something, but i'm pretty sure there's no such reasoning at play here! Enter super useful application Slide Actions which, er, allows you to perform actions on sliding your Touch Dual closed! From the application page.... Configuration options:Hang Up: If checked any calls will be hung up when the slide closes. No Locking: If checked, closing the slide does not lock the keys.Lock Keys: If checked, closing the slide locks the device.Invoke S2U2: If checked, instead of locking the keys S2U2 is invoked (inversely it will hide S2U2 on slide open).Apply and start saves the selected configuration and starts/restarts SlideActions. Simple, yet oh so effective. Nice work! :D P
Guest Monolithix Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 Aren't most of these available under the Phone menu in Settings? (or is this something else?)
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted January 22, 2008 Report Posted January 22, 2008 No, it doesn't hang up when you close, and there's no option to set that. P
Guest randomelements Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 Thanks for this Paul. Picked up my Touch Plus last night and already has this lined up for install :) Why HTC didn't do this themselves is beyond me.
