We like cool apps. We like free apps. So when an app that comes out that's free AND cool, we're stoked :) Hence, it's probably worth telling you about help2speak! Help2Speak is a FREE application available for a variety of platforms (including WinMo Standard and Professional) that assist you with the basics of speaking a foreign language..

In their own words...

Through an intuitive user interface, take the basics of the conversation in a foreign language everywhere you go and speak in the most common situations.

[*]Intuitive and easy to use interface

[*]5 Languages (English, German, French, Italian and Spanish)

    [*]9 Everyday Life Categories

[*]Platforms : Iphone, Java, Windows Mobile, Symbian

I'm downloading it now to give it a try and i'll report back my findings. It looks great, but, well, I don't get how it's free! :D

I'm have a small problem with mine in that it won't use the soft keys for the commands. The Action button does act as the select key in most of the screens but when it came time to backout, nothing happens,

Right Softkey(under the back command) - No response

Back Arrow Key - No response

Home Key - No response

End Call Key - No response

Only option I ended up with was to turn off the phone by holding the power button in.

This is on a Samsung i617 BJII

Looks ok for quick reminders but not much more.

I don't think the first language is English, by the phrasing of some of the items, e.g.:

What is this museum name?

I would open a bank account?

I stay one week

I have pain in the stomach

Can you prevent me when we shall be there?

And I don't know all the translations but the Spanish for 'Can I get the bill' uses the phrase for the legal document not the restaurant 'check'!
