Guest mychal Posted January 25, 2008 Report Posted January 25, 2008 I want GPS software for my new Blackjack II. Here are my requirements...hopefully you guys can help me find one: 1) Free? That'd be nice if something filled the following needs. 2) Turn-by-turn voice instructions. 3) Maps stored locally on microSD card (ie no need to be connected to my cell provider's data network). 4) Those maps must be stored on MY microSD card. I just spoke with Garmin about Mobile XT (I was one click away from purchasing), and they say I can only use it with THEIR microSD car that the SW and maps comes on. Boo! I don't want to be swapping out cards, really, ever. I used to use CoPilot Live 6 with my T-Mobile Dash and external bluetooth GPS receiver, but that won't recognize the internal GPS receiver of the Blackjack II. I spoke with the CoPilot support folks, and they are currently working on ways to make the CoPilot Live 7 work with the BJ II internal GPS, but as of yesterday, to no avail. Anybody have experiences to share about TomTom and the BJ II internal GPS chipset? Thanks!
