Guest su6oxone Posted January 27, 2008 Report Posted January 27, 2008 I'm wondering this because when my BJII is connected to my PC via USB cable (in either active sync mode or mass storage mode) the data transfer is super slow. The BJI was somewhat slow, but the BJII seems unbelievably slow. It took >1hr to transfer 1GB of data to the microsd card while inside the BJII. At this rate, I don't think I even want a 8GB card anymore since it takes so long to get any files onto the BJII. On my PSP, though, a 1GB file would take maybe 30 sec, and generally 5MB/sec transfer rate. Even half of that I would be thrilled with.

Sounds a bit bizzare...I transfer maps to my device using mapsource for Garmin in USB mode and they dont take long at all. I noticed that when tethered to activsync though the speeds are slower using the file explorer to transfer files. I use the USB mode as much as possible or I pull the card out and place it in my notebook reader. File transfers are super fast that way!!!. I only have a 1gb card though as I dont watch any movies or listen to music on the device all that often. It might be the physical size of the card that causes it to slow.....

Seems something was odd with my computer b/c now transfer speeds are reasonable.
