Guest benzo Posted January 27, 2008 Report Posted January 27, 2008 I took the plunge yesterday and got myself the Vario III (TYTN II/Kaiser). Everything out of the box seems to be ok. The phone works fine etc. The problem is, when I plug in the sync cable, Windows Mobile Device Center shows the spinning connecting icon for a few seconds, then stops. It shows me "error" for 3 seconds then dissappears and I just get a disconnected message. The phone itself shows the sync data icon at the top (two arrows pointing opposite ways). In terms of device installation, when I plugged it in the first time, I can see in device manager that the microsoft windows mobile remote adapter is in the list of network devices. If I untick the "USB to PC" on the Kaiser, the device manager stops showing the microsoft windows mobile remote adapter, indicating to me that my laptop recognises and manages the device ok. What is really pi$$ing me off is that I could sync with my Vario II up until yesterday no problem. And if I try to sync it now, it still syncs no problem. I am going crazy because I really want to transfer all my data and contacts to my new ppc phone. Life was so simple with activesync back in the day.
