Guest nurirgendwo Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 Hi, I've been playing around with WMV/Windows Media 9 video encoding and so far I've only been able to get 220x176@15fps running smooth at fullscreen on my HTC Excaliber/Dash (WM6). I want to get 320x240 running, but every encoding option runs choppy and looks like really bad. I've also tried running xvid and mp4 on tcpmp and it also runs bad. Is 320x240 an unrealistic goal for a WM6 smartphone? If you found some video encoding good settings please post!
Guest Menneisyys Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 Don't bother with WMV. Use DivX / XviD and the SP version of TCPMP - or if you don't mind paying $20, CorePlayer. It's WAY better. Also remember to check out my H.264 Bible ( http://www.modaco.com/content/forum/262901...-and-AVC-Bible/ ) for more info.
Guest madferret Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 I use PocketDivXEncoder to create 320 x 240 avi's and TCPMP (Core) to play them. They worked fine on a C500 and are just as good on my current S730. http://www.pocketdivxencoder.net
Guest Mucuna Posted January 28, 2008 Report Posted January 28, 2008 Well, I use Total Video Converter to convert my videos to a 320x240 mp4 file and it runs really smooth (in Windows Media Player!) in my HTC Dash.
