Guest galbro Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 alot of people here say that unlocking your phone is cool and you can install new programs and stuff. but they fail to tell you that microsoft activesych will no longer work with your phone. and there is no info out there to clearly relock your phone either. so youll have to reset your phone and lose your data im putting this on here to warn you.
Guest tsutton Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 (edited) Where did you hear this rubbish? :) I've unlocked 3 phones. All works with ActiveSync and I install software fine on them. Edited January 29, 2008 by tsutton
Guest Disco Stu Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 ActiveSync has always been a problem for a lot of people but unlocking the phone has nothing to do with it. Removing the software lock is the first thing I do with all my phones

Active synch just don't recognise the phone you need to rename your phone in activesynch and it works :)
Guest galbro Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 Active synch just don't recognise the phone you need to rename your phone in activesynch and it works :) I have never seen anything in active sych where you can change a phone name. i take you refering to the name listed on the smartphone profile in settings under WM. id appreciate if you show me that. JUST TO LET ALL KNOW...... actually application unlock seemed to have changed my settings in active synch in windows mobile it seemed to have actually turned it off, i had to go in there and turn it on that is why i could not connect. micorsoft website did not have this in their troubleshooting. figures as much!!...
