Guest SWEET GT Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 This idea came to me and I think it would be awesome if it was possible. Eventhough I am a LAN admin, at my place of employment streaming audio is not allowed (controlled by corporate policy), so no streaming music/radio/sirius at all. Now, I know this is possible with apps on smartphones/wm5-6 as long as one has a data connection (I have a TMO shadow with the data plan). This works fine..but I cant wear headphones all the time. I think it would be awesome, if I could use the data connection/edge network to stream audio (this keeps me from using the company WAN connection and keeps me completely legit) but still being able to pump sound through my desktop speakers using the USB connection on my laptop The device would still charge, and the cable would act as an input to the system for audio.. I dont think this is possible to route the audio through the pc.. at least I havent seen anyway to do this. Anyone know if this is remotely possible?
Guest NRGZ28 Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 Umm get a headphone adapter for your shadow and plug in your desktop speakers ? :) If you REALLY wanna get fancy... get a 20 dollar bluetooth adapter for your PC, pair the phone to the PC and use the "stereo headset" profile on the PC to router the sound output of the phone to your desktop PC speakers.... Yeah.. I'd go with the first option... And I guess if you want to keep the speakers plugged into your laptop, you could plug the phone's headphone output into the "Line In" jack on the laptop and mix-in the music, while still being able to listed to laptop's output.

Is one better than the other?

I just stream radio on my Shadow and listen to it on my set up at work. ;D legit work streaming radio, thank you cell phones!
