Guest galea Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 I would like to find a peice of software preferrably free to do basic GPS functions for hiking and the like. A simple compass, way point navigate to waypoint is all I am looking for. Any recommednations? I'm aware of http://vitotechnology.com/en/products/smar...smartphone.html but that's pricey. I use to have a Garmin handheld unit and I'd love to replace that functionality.
Guest wizgnome Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 I use GPSvp from http://gpsvp.garminmapsearch.com/ which works really well. Free and also free downloadable maps available. Great for hiking, Geocaching, photo tagging etc..
