Guest Paul (MVP) Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 This is kinda cool, however i'm jealous it's only available over the pond rather than here in the UK! A service by the name of 'Pingie' lets you receive RSS feed updates via SMS direct to your device! That means that by dropping http://feeds.feedburner.com/MoDaCoNews into it, you could receive all the latest MoDaCo News updates direct to your device. What more could you want? :D The Pingie service is free (although you may be charged by your carrier to receive SMS? Not sure how it works over there...) Neat :) P [Edit: Even better - just click this link to sign up - Add to Pingie]
Guest nickcornaglia Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 Cool service. Don't think I'd use it on too many sites at once tho. Most Networks here charge for INCOMING as well as OUTGOING Text mesages. Unless of course you have an unlimited message plan. (Recommended if you text alot).
Guest pdtp Posted February 4, 2008 Report Posted February 4, 2008 ok so i signed up for this Via the MoDaCo link and wile its really cool, its really annoying when you get a text message for every reply to a topic. im probable going to stop the text messages as i got 27 text messages about the "SIM free reconditioned Orange SPV M700 (HTC Trinity) - £129.99 with free phone!" and i don't need to be notified every time there is a response, just once was enough.
