Looks to have a USB input, not Mini-USB like the input of our phones. Just my two cents... - K
Guest WearTheFoxHat Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 Ive just ordered 3 of these http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/15388.htm for each laptop :) I figured that having a rounded edge would be less likely to snag than a slightly protruding bevelled edge.

Guest WearTheFoxHat Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 That was my assumption too. Plus into PC so phone can communicate with it.
Guest Subliminal Aura Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 (edited) I figured that having a rounded edge would be less likely to snag than a slightly protruding bevelled edge. Yeh they are nice too but with the trust one I can hide it under the flap the cases the usb port and forget about it :) To others yes I'm hoping to get one of these to upgraid my very old onboard bluetooth v1 in the hope that I get more than 600kbps (bt1 ~ 786kbps) when connecting kubuntu with the tytn II. Guest Gisky Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 Anyone know how well either of these work with linux?
Guest Subliminal Aura Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 Anyone know how well either of these work with linux? Well I only use linux so I would be buggered if didn't... It should do as the linux bluetooth is very mature. However I must point out that I have not had the time to purchase it yet so can't say for sure.
Guest Subliminal Aura Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 Got fed up with the lousy performance of mixing bluetooth 1.1 with a2dp(2) simultaneously - so I've ordered one. Hopefully I'll be able listen to my tunes(kaiser->a2dp->my headset) without interuption whilst also being online (kaiser->bt pan->my laptop). Since the connection to the laptop is 1.1 and a2dp to my headset I think the mixing is what is causing bottlenecks.
Guest steveoidm Posted February 28, 2008 Report Posted February 28, 2008 If you are going to buy this one http://www.lambda-tek.com/componentshop/in...p;prodID=B93726 check the transfer rate. I can't see it on that site, however I am sure I have seen the same one elsewhere specified as 728k or something. Whereas this one http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/15388.htm is specified as 2.1mbps.
Guest Subliminal Aura Posted February 28, 2008 Report Posted February 28, 2008 It says bluetooth 2 From their website " Bluetooth 2.0 technology: up to 3 times faster than standard Bluetooth " Mine should arrive 2morrow (got it from ebay not lamdatek)
