Guest mar9118 Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 Microsoft forgot the Smileys!!! should make them available both on SMS and MSN Messenger
Guest pisquee Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 If you type standard ascii emoticons in abc mode, they will be remembered by the t9 dictionary ... so in t9 mode you can type 111, anmd then cycle through all your lovely faces! although this depends on the rememberence level of your t9, as it is a bit shakey!
Guest bdmoore Posted April 2, 2003 Report Posted April 2, 2003 You can also set these up in the registry - goto HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftInboxPresetMsgs and change the values in keys 0...9 to whatever you want to use. You can then insert these into an email / SMS by using Menu / Insert Text. Not sure about MSN tho. Hope this helps! Ben PS - This may duplicate some of the keys 0-9 in the registry, don't worry they only show once on the menu!
Guest madu Posted April 2, 2003 Report Posted April 2, 2003 Ermmm, no need for registry... Inbox>Menu>Options>Predefined Text...
Guest bdmoore Posted April 2, 2003 Report Posted April 2, 2003 Doh!! Can't believe I haven't noticed that one before!!
Guest terminater2_uk Posted April 12, 2003 Report Posted April 12, 2003 i'm sure there must be a registry tweak to allow pre-defined text to search for a gifs as well as text. come on midnight?
Guest rocknsock2k Posted April 14, 2003 Report Posted April 14, 2003 still would be nice for smileys to automatically come up on msn when u type the codes in so u can see them as well as the other person on their nice pc
