USIM Advice

I really should know this but I don't..... :)

I have a 3 USIM and am fed up with two phones (SE610i and K-Jam). I want to stay with winmobo and am looking at a sim free replacement for my K-Jam. Will the 3 USIM work in a 3G PPC? Can I use internet features etc? Grateful for your advice. Cheers.

Im using a three Payg sim in all my winmo phones and it works fine

It is one of the later PAYG sims which i believe is not classed as a usim now and it works fine.

If yours is a earlier sim it might not work though.

Yep, my 3 SIM was just over a year old and USIM only - so it won't work with any 2G handset. Got any 2G handsets you can try it in?

Next thing I really like the HTC Touch but want 3G any ideas??? (I don't like HTC TyTN II - I want a similar form factor to Touch)

To use a Network3 SIM in a non 3 phone, the phone must be 3G, and must be switched to 3G or Auto (not GSM) as 3 have to pay their roaming partners for 2G usage.

For some reason their 2G roaming coverage is not as good as the roaming partner's own service, so you may get dropouts in a non-3 area.
