Guest mjmahon Posted February 3, 2008 Report Posted February 3, 2008 After using the phone for 2 weeks with using POP access to my gmail, I was unenthused with the delay it had when receiving emails. I decided to set up a (free) microsoft exchange-based account from live.mail2web.com. I just set gmail to forward a copy of every email to my mail2web email. To my surprise not only did this fix the lag (because it uses directpush), the battery power lasts much longer now. To some it still might not seem to last "long," but it definitely lasts long enough. I use the internet to and from commuting to work and casual use throughout the day and by the time I'm going to bed I still have at least a bar, usually 2 bars of battery left. If you can deal with having your sent emails from your phone coming from a different address, I definitely suggest doing this.
