Using Custom Ringtones

Anyone got this working?

One of the options in a contact is to set a custom ringtone - I've set one but I still seem to be getting the default one.

I've checked that both tones exist so that's not the problem and I can use either of the tones as default so it's a playable file ...

I can't make this work either - in fact i didn't know the feature exsisted until i read this post - it ould be really useful. ANyone else make it work? I always just get whatever I have for L1 tone.

I made it work by mistake, I had a wav file but could not play it this was Scooby_Doo_Theme.wav but by using All-explorer select the wav,

Menu

File

Execute

This then gives you the file name and destination,

Ok (this starts playing the wav)

Menu

Save sound(you then get notification of save)

Then if you go Programs-Settings-Sounds

the wav file will be listed, so you can use it

And Scooby Doo is a pain in the ass as an alarm clock at 04:45 :shock:

but it did wake me up :D

hi all - sorry paul,

I have got this one working now too - if the sound is in ISPMApplication settingssounds they work. If you just put them in windows with all the others they dont work and they delete if you switch the phone off

Suggestion: Do you have the number in your spv twice? This can confuse the phone.

I think I am going mad now. My ringtones are working fie with some contacts and not at all with others. I have just changed the default number to the mobile number for all of the contacts in question and now all of them seem to ring with the default ringtone rather than the custom one. I have tried re-applying the custom ringtone but no joy so far. Anyone go a surefire way of making it work.

PS as with all my posts sorry for any missing letters, I am sure I am using the phone better than I can type!

Same here. The only thing I've done re tones is to download the ones via the Danish/German update.
