Guest Hatchet Posted February 5, 2008 Report Posted February 5, 2008 I was just wondering if I buy an "unlocked" smartphone, does that mean that I can access all the programs and applications on it like windows media and internet explorer without having mobile service? Also, if that's a yes, would I be able to get on the internet with wifi without having any mobile service like at&t, sprint, etc. Lastly, which smartphones actually allow access to the internet via wifi? I couldn't find any.

All functions are available (except for calling etc.). Lastly, which smartphones actually allow access to the internet via wifi? I couldn't find any. Well, there are quite a few. Let me recommend having a look at pdadb.net.
