Guest SlideItAbdicted Posted February 5, 2008 Report Posted February 5, 2008 I found and tried SlideIt http://www.mobiletextinput.com/Product/SlideIT/SlideIT.php a new virtual keyboard for stylus. Amazing no other words, a real improvment to former solutions. Efficient, easy and even fun. You just have to slide to input text. So impressed I already change my nickname :) . Have you tried it ? Have you heard about Dasur www.mobiletextinput.com By the way they have a interface for thumbs users Thumbkey http://www.mobiletextinput.com/Product/ThumbKey/ThumbKey.php I didn't downloaded it. Is it good as SlideIt is ?
Guest chucky.egg Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 Nice advert there fella! Looks kinda ugly though don't you think? The slide typing thing looks like something from the 80s, and looks like it requires (in practical terms) a stylus. The thumb-one looks like a clone of Tengo Thumb, which is a reasonable SIP to copy if you're going to copy anything.
Guest Confucious Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 I was going to try it - but then saw it costs $40! There are plenty of free input methods - I'm certainly not going to pay 20 squid for one no matter how good it is!
Guest SlideItAbdicted Posted February 18, 2008 Report Posted February 18, 2008 Have you once looked at your QWERTY computer keyboard ? not so fancy and with no change for a while.... What to do, when it is good, it is good for a time. More I need to input text, quickly and efficiently. Colours and gimics are not my priority. Sorry. Concerning the price. I agree. Not so cheap, but I bought it. I can leave with the expense for a good SIP. I waste so many for inferior solutions in the past. SlideIt must be the result of hard work and Dasur is the first on the market. That's it. By the way, before to shot, download the app and give a try. That's for free. Maybe you will like myself be abdicted.... Nice advert there fella! Looks kinda ugly though don't you think? Good news for you, a free demo is now available !!!http://mobiletextinput.com/Product/SlideIT...loadSlideIT.php :D :( :( By the way, more I used it , more I liked it. And it seems to be contagious (ask my friends....)
Guest simon211175 Posted March 10, 2008 Report Posted March 10, 2008 is it that hard for someone to come on and say "hey guys, I wrote a new app and would like to see what you think"? This thread reads like one of those crappy infomercials you get stateside. Well done SlideitAbdicted (addicted?) - it looks okay, definitely not worth paying $40 though, sorry.

Unfortunately for me, I didn't wrote it and have no share in the company. Sorry I just like the app and thought it is worth to share my feelings and experience about it
Guest simon211175 Posted March 11, 2008 Report Posted March 11, 2008 I've seen so many similar threads on forums by people who have "found this amazing item for sale and had to tell everyone". If you didn't write the application then I apologise for the assumption, but in my opinion (and others judging by the posts), you've come across as this type of person - you've just joined the forum, signed up using a name that promotes the product and your posts read like they've come straight from the marketing department.

When I read the post again, I can understand your point. It is true a have created a new identity (but I am not so new in this forum) when I discovered the application. When I first published the product was still free, and I asked for feedbacks. Afterthat I reacted when I saw answers from people which haven't even tried it. Let's stop our discussion (not focused, and just boosting the threat without any reason....). I will return to my previous identity and that's all
