Guest Paul (MVP) Posted February 8, 2008 Report Posted February 8, 2008 Sprite Software, purveyors of the fine Sprite Backup and Sprite Terminator applications, have just released 'Sprite Archie', a tool for archiving your SMS and call histories to your inbox. Every time I write Archie my fingers want to type Archive, which is where I guess the name comes from... :) The application is detailed at this page, an excerpt of which is included below... What is Sprite Archie? Sprite Archie monitors your SMS and Call activity and logs this activity to email so that you can refer back to it at any time. Why should I care? Never lose SMS messages again. - Automatically archives each sent or received SMS message Export your SMS and Call activity before changing phones. - Flexible format - text, csv or xml Easily analyze your call activity - or compare to your operator billing record. Meet data retention compliance requirements - No more un-managed messages Convenience - Search for messages or call history items from the comfort of your desktop Product Features SMS Messages - archive to email immediately or on a daily or weekly schedule Export SMS or Call activity for a date range to file - text, csv or xml format - Customizable templates for emails Supports all Windows Mobile phones running WM5 or WM6 (except Palm Treos). The application retails for $14.95, has a trial version available and also offers a '30 day money back guarantee'. P
Guest chucky.egg Posted February 8, 2008 Report Posted February 8, 2008 (edited) Personally I prefer CallHistory2Calendar to put all my call history into my .... wait for it ... calendar. That way it syncs with Exchange/Outlook and appears everywhere in a nice easily searchable format. As Paul might say "Plus members can get it for free HERE" Edited February 8, 2008 by chucky.egg
Guest Monolithix Posted February 10, 2008 Report Posted February 10, 2008 I had a play with the beta a few weeks back and was wholey unimpressed, it simply emailed your archive as text to an address you your own choice. It looks like they've improved it somewhat in the final version though :D
