Guest madbomb20 Posted February 8, 2008 Report Posted February 8, 2008 After messing with all the GPS hacks, I couldnt seem to get it going. I hard reset and just installed the TeleNav Program (just clicked "Get Telenav" under applications) It asks you to download the file (1.5MB) and installs it. During the install I got a text message with some kind of pin code for using it. It is a watered down version of TeleNav Pro (You cant use the GPS unless u call AT&T and activate it for $9.99 a month) So there is no charge for installing it. (unless you don't have unlimited data plan) After Telenav was installed I opened the GPSTest.exe in the Windows directory (Have to make a shortcut to it with Total Commander in /Windows/Start Menu, otherwise it's invisible) Magically it starting rocking and rolling and picking up my location! Right after running gpstest.exe I opened Garmin and it works like a charm! Didn't need a single hack and it used the GPS Intermediate Driver. I hope this helps some of you having trouble. The Modaco COM4 hack seemed to mess up my media net (Remote party has ended your connection errors) :)

Because installing 1.5MB file is big for a Smart phone
Guest su6oxone Posted February 12, 2008 Report Posted February 12, 2008 If you're lucky, like me, the GPS intermediate driver will work fine out of the box with Garmin, Live Search, Google Maps... No need for gpstest or anything. Just fire up Garmin and locks in 2-5 minutes in the middle of downtown Baltimore.
