Guest tomesy Posted February 8, 2008 Report Posted February 8, 2008 I've recently purchased the Touch Plus on T-mobile and I have to say I love the phones looks and general form factor. But having owned the Vario II I feel I'm having issues with email. For example, POP3. I have my settings to download email every 30 mins. However, if I leave the phone untouched it doesn't download the email and alert me (consistantly). I'll pick the phone up, press the power button, unlock it activating the screen and suddenly I get my emails. I've tested this sending myself an email from hotmail, and it'll quite happily sit there not making a sound for well over 30 mins... (2 hours I tested) - as soon as I pick it up, hit the power button to bring it to life, and it downloads immediately (almost). This is annoying and not something I had with the vario II. (To clarify, in testing, occasionally it downloads while locked/screen off, but this is rare). The other problem I have is with Windows Live. i downloaded the cab from Xda Developers, installed it and it set up OK. I didn't set up for Contacts syncing, only email but after the initial sync, it refuses to sync a second time either manually or automatically. It constantly responds, Sync fails. I've tried reinstalling (which just repeats the above) and changing the Live acount (back to the same). Nothing seems to sort the problem. If anyone has any help on the above, please shout as this is annoying me. Thanks. Finally - I'm trying to get Sky Anytime on my phone...
