Guest Monolithix Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 Certainly is a nice looking handset, whats with HTC leaving out the wifi again though :) A choice or a compromise for every customer!?
Guest paholman Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 (edited) Certainly is a nice looking handset, whats with HTC leaving out the wifi again though :D A choice or a compromise for every customer!? It's a nice looking device, but in my humble opinion, the 02 XDA orbit is just as good, although less RAM ,but it has WiFi, and can be picked up for a lot cheaper these days. :) Approx £200. Guest Mark in Holland Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 Is it really such a bargain? At EUR 449, It's only EUR 120 less than the Touch Cruise (which has WiFi and 3G).....
Guest Monolithix Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 Depends on how the networks price it up, i'd imagine ;p
Guest Swampie Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 That looks great, shame about lack of wifi I hardly use WiFi any more on my Vario III - just lovely 3G data all the way...
Guest jimbouk Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 Once you've used HSDPA, you don't really miss wifi... and I am going to bet that the networks had a lot of say in the removal of wifi.

If you're lucky enough to be in an area with that coverage, sadly I'm not one of them and have to resort to Wifi. Especially abroad Edited February 11, 2008 by paholman
Guest Confucious Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 What's this with HTC bundling TT instead of CoPilot?
Guest DarkWanderer Posted February 12, 2008 Report Posted February 12, 2008 It is a good looking phone, but it's far too expensive, how can that price be called low-budget! Especially if they're pushing it as a satnav replacement, compare it to the price of a standalone TomTom and it's ridiculous.

Especially if they're pushing it as a satnav replacement, compare it to the price of a standalone TomTom and it's ridiculous. You can't make phone calls with Tomtom device. This is a Pocket PC and phone into one. :) But I agree with you about them labelling it as budget when it's a bit on the pricey side.
