Guest SarahDewe Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 Hi guys and girls ;-) I am just writing about a trial of a mobile email application called Always-On Mail that I have downloaded to my Smartphone 2006 device from http://www.workoutofoffice.com/software/internet_edition/ It’s a free trial and as I like anything that’s free I thought I’d give it a try. It syncs in real time my email account with my Smartphone. Basically as soon as I get a mail in my account, I get a beep on my phone and there it is. I’m happy with it so far, but was wondering what you guys think about it before I go ahead and buy it? Thanks guys J Sarah
Guest jimbouk Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 So helpful. Thanks. You wouldnt work for them by any chance?
Guest Neil5459 Posted February 12, 2008 Report Posted February 12, 2008 I looked at this when it was first released- and quickly dismissed as an expensive irrelevance. It is supposed to be like genuine push email, and actually costs a little more than 4Smartphone. Additionally, the host PC needs to be always on, and as the client software is on a per unit basis, you'd need a licence for each device you use. 4SP gives much better value, and there are other genuine Exchange Hosts that do the job.
