Guest revrenhex Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 OK, I am tired of looking at my sim contacts in the phone book. I have used the reg editor to remove them, but they come back. I have used the setting in the phone to remove them, but they come back. How do I make them go away for good (without deleting them). PS - how do I delete them :)
Guest Athenon Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 I had this problem. I just deleted them since I didn't care what was on the SIM card - what's on the phone is what's important. To deleted them, just delete them like you would any other contact if memory serves (right soft button and click delete). On a side note, I have my contacts in both a trial version of outlook and another SIM card, so all I'd lose would be nothing, unless my computer went down....then I'd just lose everything I put in since I got the phone. Guest totoymola Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 Is there an easy way to copy all the contacts from the sim to the phone? I tried syncing my phone to my computer but it doesn't show my sim contacts.
Guest Athenon Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 I don't think so, but I could be wrong. I brought all mine into Outlook, changed them to suit me and exported them to the phone. Guest totoymola Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 How did you do that? I cannot sync my contacts on the phone (outlook) to my computer. I don't know why. By the way, I was able to transfer all my sim contacts to outlook by using a program called m2simcopy.

Guest dmsaelee Posted February 18, 2008 Report Posted February 18, 2008 I would like know how to keep SIM numbers from appearing in my contacts as well. I'd still like to keep them on the SIM card just in case I ever have to switch phones temporarily.
Guest toxik Posted February 18, 2008 Report Posted February 18, 2008 there is an app out there that copies all your sim contacts to phone contacts. I forgot the name but I remember I used it when I got my BJII. You can import all your contacts to outlook on your PC and that way you don't have to worry about keeping your contacts on your sim since it won't matter if you lose your phone or get a new one.
