Using XDA Orbit GPS via bluetooth?

Hi,

My wife recently upgraded to an XDA Orbit 2 and I now have her old XDA Orbit to use in the car for GPS - I have an HTC Touch so don't need it for anything else.

I had been looking to get a bluetooth GPS to connect to my Touch and wondered if I could use the XDA Orbit for that function.

I know it would be easier to sell the Orbit and buy a bluetooth GPS but seeing I have this just now!

I know I could just use the Orbit in the car but that would mean having 2 holders where I can see them (one for XDA, one for Touch), but if I used the Orbit just as the GPS then I could keep that somewhere descrete in the car.

Any comments on the feasability of this and any hints/tips would be appreciated.

Thanks

Jazz

You need something like GPSGate :D

GPS Gate is excellent- I did a review of it Here :) (didn't get around to the GPS Sharing though :D

Another app that will do what you want is GPS 2 Blue which has the advantage of being free.

Thanks for both responses and I think I quite like the price of GPS2Blue! will check it out first and see how it works

Sadly I couldn't get GPS2blue working, whereas GPSgate did!

Yes- GPSGate is one of those niche products that simply does what it sets out to, then amazes the user about how much extra it can do. Its a shame Johan doesn't have the time to make the help files a bit more user friendly :)
