Guest su6oxone Posted February 12, 2008 Report Posted February 12, 2008 (edited) I've been experimenting with encoding 3GP video for use on m i617 using 3GP Converter, but find that with 30fps, the video is just too choppy on playback with either Windows Media Player or TCPMP, but at 15fps it is just not smooth or fluid enough motion for me. I tried 30fps with 400kbps video and 128kbps stereo audio, but it was way choppy. I was hesitant to lower video bitrate even lower as I figured the quality would suffer from that as well. Finally I decided to compromise and encode at 320x240, 512kbps video @15fps and 128kbps AAC stereo audio, and it plays back fine and is reasonable quality, but still wish I could get good video/audio quality WITH 30fps as well. Anyone have success if encoding 3GP at 30fps with good audio/video quality? Edited February 12, 2008 by su6oxone
