Guest harrysaab Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 (edited) Hi I am final year university student who is doing a final year research project on field of mobile phones, the title of project is 'What is Gender Preferences of using mobile phones?' The aim is to find out if male and females have different choices of mobiles and services/features they use on the mobiles, so I can give guidelines and recommendations to operators/mobile companies when designing mobiles or services to target male/female genders differntly. Please help me fill out this questionnaire it will take you less than a 1 minute and there are only 14 questions to answer, mostly tick boxes Here is the link to my online questionnaire: https://www.smart-survey.co.uk/v.asp?i=5034...p;m=&tiag=1 (amended questionnaire, first one was like pilot study) Thanks in advance. Sorry, but my field is pretty specialised to a branch of medicine; I'm in private practice most of the time but teach/tutor one day per week. Your supervisor has left it a bit late to suggest changes (or have you responded late? :) ) so you really need to ask him/her for advice. Presumbly the title should reflect the actual context, not just what a misconception by the supervisor has suggested? Failing that, your university librarian would be the next choice to approach, or the research fellow in charge of the department. Otherwise, your academic tutor should be able to advise as to the best course for both the content/title, and the lit review.
Guest squilla Posted February 17, 2008 Report Posted February 17, 2008 (edited) I replied, Good luck! :) Why would phone companies want to target gender specifics? I dont want to sound all feminist but its a bit sexist isnt it? Thinking about this subject tho, i'd hate my phone company to treat me like a 'female', presuming such things like if im a female I will want a nice pink Moto Razor with Brad Pitt wall paper. Its wierd that companies put research in to such things. Edited February 17, 2008 by squilla
