Phone as a modem

I called T-Mobile to ask about the USB internet, the lady on the phone advised me to just upgrade to the plus package which I did. Its supposed to be switched over to Plus now, but the only thing is I cant figure how to set it up!

The lady on the phone said I only need a cable, I cant figure it, has anyone done this? If so how do you do it please? :)

Have you upgraded your Ameo to WinMo 6? If so there will be an ICS icon in your programs list, fire it up, choose BT or USB and connect accordingly, then you're away :)

It's a slightly different proceedure on WinMo 5, so let us know what your exact setup is, I use my Vario III for web access all the time :D

I have upgraded to WM6 using the T-Mobile upgrade. I didnt find anything called ICS but I found what you are talking about in Internet Sharing (Previously I had been going through my Connection Settings), the woman at T-Mo told me just to switch on HSDPA, although I knew there was more to it than that!

Anyway I have just followed your advice and tried USB and Bluetooth under Internet Sharing and it still doesnt work. :)

Well a BIG thanks to Monolithix for sorting me out over in Palringo! As mentioned above, it is a simple as Monolithix said, just remember to reboot the phone and laptop if it doesnt connect, oh and add the cable after you connect. :)
