Guest xtreme__boi Posted February 17, 2008 Report Posted February 17, 2008 Ok, I think I may have a little problem with my Vario III. Basically this is the problem I have. If I get a text message, and I want to reply, I will reply. But when I am typing the text it seems to be slow to start off with, but there the message I am typing simply just shoots across the screen. The best way I can explain it is, you start to type, but nothing shows on the screen. You carry on typing the message, then the characters show up across the screen. Starts off slow, but then speeds up. As you can understand its annoying, and doesn't only do it when replying to messages, it also does it when I am trying to access programs, or trying to lock the device. Acts kinda sluggish, but speeds up after 5-10 seconds. The only way I can solve this at the moment is to turn the device off, then back on. But after a while, the same problems returns. Any tips, or suggestions how to get around this??? Cheers, Lee

Try the following: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=369631 "download schaps advance config and disable 4 way d-pad navigation" Edited February 17, 2008 by 246810
Guest jimbouk Posted February 17, 2008 Report Posted February 17, 2008 The text entry delay is likely due to your auto complete settings. The otbher sluggishness sounds like you have installed an app that is hogging resources.
Guest benzo Posted February 17, 2008 Report Posted February 17, 2008 I have the same problem- a time delay between the physical pressing of the keys and the characters that appear on screen. It is really irritating! One would have though that with the extra beefy memory and processor speed, the Vario III would be able to deal with a txt message compose function.
Guest lozzd Posted February 17, 2008 Report Posted February 17, 2008 Yeah this happens sometimes, I disabled auto complete (since it's useless with or without a keyboard it seems) and it's got a lot better. Sometimes just nothing you can do but restart though :)
Guest jimbouk Posted February 17, 2008 Report Posted February 17, 2008 Tweak the auto complete. I have mine to suggest two words after three letters. Its fine.
