Garmin Mobile XT... any way to make fullscreen?

I love Garmin Mobile XT, so much better than Copilot Live 6 that I was using on the i607, but I don't like how so much valuable screen real estate is wasted by the bar at the top that states "Garmin Mobile XT" and the 3G, battery info, etc., as well as the bottom bar that has speed and time to destination info. I can easily see the speedometer when driving and the time to destination is pretty useless. If those two bars could be eliminated, the larger map would make it a lot nicer to use. Anyone know of a way to make it full screen so that only the map and the driving instructions are shown and not the top and bottom bars? In any case, it's still a great GPS application.
