Sync options

A very simple question, I have a TyTN II and have had a new pc without office running vista I don't really want to buy outlook but is there any other programs like outlook that i can sync to.

I have had in the past:

spv e100

spv e200

spv m2000

spv c550

spv m5000

Will any of the previous software be usable or have I got to bite the bullet and buy outlook? Will any thing else work eg. Open Office.
