Screen Keeps Coming Back On

Recommended Posts

When my phone goes to hibernate, for some reason the main background keeps lighting up and then goes away, then later it comes back on after a couple minutes and so forth. It just started doing this and it's pissing me off because i keep looking at it and also it's losing battery life too

What can i do to resolve this problem?

Thanks in advance

Might be if you have GPStest running in the background, or Garmin. Any background applications can cause this.

I think someone previously suggested activesync as the culprit. Or maybe it's just the sensitive scroll wheel, as I notice the keypad light periodically turns on when using Garmin to navigate.

My screen goes on every time I get a new email in Pocket Outlook. It's annoying and I'm sure wastes battery life. I wish there was a way to fix this, but I haven't seen a solution on any of the forums. Apparently, the Moto Q Global doesn't do this.

The smart money is that you have your blackjack connected to activesync in the background via bluetooth, which means that everytime the computer initiates somesort of access to the device that the screen and keyboard both activate momentarily. I've observed this to happen in both activesync on windows natively as well as clones like pocketmac and missing sync. Simply unpair the device from your computer and the problem should cease. My two cents.

I figured out that the only time the screen comes back on is when i have an app running in the background, so I just turn them off and no more annoying light
