Choices choices choices......

I'm in a bit of a bind regarding which shiny new device to get. I'm at the end of my contract and with T-Mob demanding almost £90 to upgrade from a Vario II to a Vario III it seems like I'll be off to O2 with their unlimited internet bolt-on. My problem is, which device to go for. The choices are:

XDA Stellar - O2's Kaiser - I like the idea of the QWERTY keyboard having owned the Vario II for the past year, but how does it compare size wise?

XDA Orbit 2 - O2's Touch Cruise - I do like the look of it a lot, the only thing that worries me is the lack of hardware keyboard. Are the new 'Touch' software keypads any better than the previous ones or are they still a bit hit and miss?

I'm drawn towards the Orbit 2 cos it looks a bit sexier! :) But then there's the slide out keyboard of the Kaiser. Oh I don't know, opinions please! :D

I can't see the 02 unlimited internet bolt on. I dont want to teach granny how to suck eggs, but beware of the wording "unlimited" as nearly all telco's use it, and it varies wildly from Vodafone's 120MB a month to T-Mobiles 10Gig a month.

Go for the Kaiser ;-)

Good point on the 'Unlimited' data - I have asked O2 what exactly 'Unlimited' means and is I get HSDPA usage included.

I have read loads of reviews of both the Kaiser and Touch Cruise and there are some that state the camera on the Kaiser is not quite up to scratch. How would everyone rate the camera?

The Kaiser camera is the best you're going to get on a HTC device. It's pretty good, just slow in low light...

i have an orbit 2 and its fantastic. The soft keypad is like a normal phone for texting with xt9.

when i asked o2 what unlimited meant, they said they no longer operate a fair usage policy. have that on email too from there CS team. only restriction is that you cant use the unlimited data bolt on for using your phone as a modem for a laptop.

Thanks for all the replies guys, but after the post on the front page regarding the MWg Atom Life for £199 from Expansys, I couldn't resist and took the plunge and ordered one. I've gone with O2 on a SIM-only contract with the Unlimited internet bolt-on (and O2 also confirmed to me via email that usage of the 3G network is indeed unlimited). £25 a month, 600 minutes, 1000 texts, unlimited internet and 30 day rolling contract. And a shiny new MWg Atom Life to play with. Gadgets, gadgets, gadgets eh! :)
