RetroGroupInternational Press Release :: Monday, 31st March, 2003.

RetroGroupInternational has today announced the arrival of its new telecoms subsidiary, PLANUS TELECOMMUNICATIONS.

PLANUS TELECOMMUNICATIONS will be launching the new paid SMS service on the 12th April, the same day as the MoDaCo event.

The new Director of SMS Services at PLANUS, Adam Brown, said: "I am really excited about the release of this product, as it is not only more flexible than the current service from the UK operators, but cheaper too."

The new service allows consumers to pay via a number of different methods, including Credit Card, PayPal and NoChex. Plans are underway to implement a top-up card system.

Asif Alibhai, Managing Director of PLANUS TELECOMMUNICATIONS, said: ?This will indeed be a great opportunity for UK Smartphone users to get great priced SMS on the move..?

The company will be making 200 limited edition top-up cards, of various values, in time for the MoDaCo event. 100 x £5 cards (130SMS Value) will be given away for free at the MoDaCo event. This is an introductory offer, and if the card system is popular, it will be implemented in Q2, 2003.

The Planus website, (http://www.PLANUS.Net) has a detailed Information booklet available for download, which outlines how the service will work, and also how much it will Cost.

In case anyone was wondering, this is the new name for the RetroSPV service. The free trial will be for those event goers who get one of the cards.
