Guest JorgV Posted February 23, 2008 Report Posted February 23, 2008 Hey there, just got my S710 2 days ago, and really liking it alot! Got one question though: I can connect to the internet using GPRS. I can connect to my router via WLAN. But how can I tell which connection is used? When I open up IE, the little "G" appears next to my batterylevel indicator, so I'm guessing I'm still using GPRS. How can I tell my S710 to use WiFi? Thanks!
Guest Looby Posted February 23, 2008 Report Posted February 23, 2008 (edited) If you have a good WiFi connection it will always use it by default over GPRS. If you go to Comm Manager on your device, switch off your phone(2) and then enable WiFi(4) you can see how your WiFi is performing without GPRS connected. I hope this helps..looby :) Edited February 24, 2008 by Looby

Now I am sure it connects via Wifi, as the 'G' doesn't reappear when I enter the internet (with the phone on that is)! Also good to know that it will use WiFi over GPRS by default!
