Audio Manager Updating library all the time?

Hi, my Audio Manager on my s710 is searching for new songs all the time, I mean that the "magnifying glass" is in action all the time while the player is on. As far as I can remember it did search for new songs only for 5-10 seconds when I started the player.

It doesn't affect listening to music in anyway, but does the battery life suffer due the player is scanning the memory card for new songs while I'm listening to music? Usually I use the Audio Manager about 3-4 hours a day, so it could make a difference in battery life, that's my theory. I could be completely wrong.

Hope someone could help me or tell me more about this :)
