I have swapped cables rebooted pc's soft reset the phones, deleted the partnership everything except hard resetting my phone (am very loathe to do that) but nothing. on my laptop i plug the second phone in and it starts the wizard. I cancel to get guest on the desktop it wont even see the second phone its really bugging me anyone any ideas cheers
Guest Nucksta Posted March 2, 2008 Report Posted March 2, 2008 What version of active sync are you running if not 4.5 1st Id update that 2nd, On the unit that isnt working have you checked the active sync settings ensuring usb is ticked in the tools options 3 is there any visual damage to the miniusb? Does the unit charge
Guest jimbouk Posted March 2, 2008 Report Posted March 2, 2008 As the laptop can see the device fine, I am guessing the phone's USB connection is fine. Are you connecting via RNDIS or USB (ie have you unticked or ticked the advanced option in Start, Settings, Connections, USB-to-PC)? If thats ticked, try unticked as it could be a firewall issue thats blocking the rndis connection on the desktop.
