Guest markm18 Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 I just purchased a Blackjack II and paired my Jawbone to it. I listened to a voicemail message that I left and it is very loud and tinny sounding. My wife immediately complained when I called her with it. I paired the Jawbone back to my HTC S710 and it sounded fine. Has anyone else had this problem with other headsets and has anyone found a solution? AD2P hack?

My jawbone works great, could your headset be defective- I know they were having problems with some(not sure how wide spread it was)
Guest markm18 Posted March 2, 2008 Report Posted March 2, 2008 My jawbone works great, could your headset be defective- I know they were having problems with some(not sure how wide spread it was) I went to the AT&T store to pair my headset with the demo Blackjack II unit and also had poor quality. The person helping me agreed to exchange my Jawbone for a new one under warranty. Still no success. The noise cancellation of the Jawbone seems to work, it's just that the gain seems too loud on the mic coming through the headset. I have recorded my voice on my voicemail to listen to it. It is very loud and background noice can even come across as crackling sort of sound. I traded the Jawbone for a Jabra BT8040 and it is also loud; not much different than the Jawbone. I have seen a couple of complaints of this, but not wide spread. I don't understand it. Any help from anyone else out there appreciated. Also, I did pair my Jawbon to my Cingular 2125 and my HTC S710; both sound great with the Jawbone. The Blackjack II is our company's new standard or I would just revert back to my S710.

My RAZR had excellant Bluetooth connectivity, had speech recognition and I could listen to my music / movies through my headset. Granted it was the nicest RAZR out at the time, but it was not 400$ ! Here is the kicker, my bluetooth is a samsung.... So my samsung bluetooth works better when not connected to a samsung phone. I wouldnt trade back, and I love my blackjack, but I have had to jump through all kinds of hoops just to make the basic functionality as good as my last phone.
