When i text it doen not default to #'s in the to: area

When i try to text message someone i have to hit Fn for each number. it for some reason has stoppe defaulting to numbers like it should be. any ideas what the problem could be

Not sure what the problem is, but you can press FN twice to enable number lock so you don't have to press it for each number...
