Guest ravage Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 Hi All, I had to hard reset my phone (long story) and now everytime I switch my phone on from standby the backlight always defaults to the lowest setting? I then adjust it, either through the settings or from the shortcut on the HTC home screen. Off, then on and then the backlight is at the lowest again. Any ideas how to stop this from happening?
Guest Sean Saunders Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 Hi, I am sharing your annoyance, I had a new TYTN II Delivered from orange after mine was nabbed at the weekend, and i locked it remotely. It does the exact same thing BUT also in a phone call wont allow me to use the start menu and any other feature. Also in addition to this once out of the call and back to the homescreen it does the same dimming thing, and not let me use start menu. Sean
Guest Sean Saunders Posted February 28, 2008 Report Posted February 28, 2008 A Little bump here! Does Anyone have ANY ideas at all? PAUL!? :D
Guest Sean Saunders Posted February 28, 2008 Report Posted February 28, 2008 (edited) Edit: Copied over from XDA Developers - A Bit More Detail on my problem: Good Afternoon I had a new TyTN II Delivered from orange after mine was nabbed at the weekend, and i locked it remotely. When i make a call now all is hunky dory, but whilst in that call if i go to press START for example nothing will happen, so again i try another way and press X to go to the today screen to then press start, Nothing happens. I inform my caller ill call them back, and end the call by either pressing "End Call" or pressing the Red Button, and then instantly the Back light defaults to a very low setting, and it did NOT do this on my previous TyTN II. I have spent a fair while looking through here and google (and also MoDaCo Forums) trying to find a solution. I only know of one other person on MoDaCo who has the problem, and i have tried hard reset on the device too to no avail. It is a Orange HTC TyTN II, so i have called them also for advice and they know about as much about it as i do. This is a plea for someone here maybe to lend me a hand and sort this out, otherwise its going to collide with the nearest large surface in the next few days ha ha. Thanks again for reading, and I hope someone can help me! Edit: there is no password set on the device either. Sean Saunders Edited February 28, 2008 by Sean Saunders
