Guest Master_G Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 Has anyone tried activesync over bluetooth? If so, can you tell how you accomplished this. I cannot get a com port on my pc for i617. Also under services on the BJ for my PC, nothing is listed. I have sucessfully transferred single files back and forth if i like :) thanks.

Guest su6oxone Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 (edited) The guide you linked is no longer available. Can anyone 'reprint' it here? I don't know why the author just didn't paste it into the thread. http://www.modaco.com/content/Smartphone-G...and-Bluetooth-/ Edited February 27, 2008 by su6oxone

Well, by deleting the partnership on the pc and the i617, restarting both, and then reestablishing the partnership, setting the COM port on activesync 4.5 to the same COM port assigned to it by the pc, it works perfectly now. It's so finicky but when it works, it works great and assigning an outgoing COM port on the i617 turns out to be not necessary at all.
