Guest jakeson Posted March 2, 2008 Report Posted March 2, 2008 Until I figure out whats going on with Route 66 (see post below) I decided to give the the voice guided Mapquest Navigator a try. So far so good, it paired up well my Blackjack II. Mapquest was able to lock on to 7 satellites by just sitting the phone next to my window (within my residence). I then ran a test set of navigation points and after the program gathered the directions and "download the route data" to my phone I was greeted by a womans voice. Options after your route is calculated and downloaded are traffic report, route overview, route details, directions, recalculate route, update traffic, 2D map, turn view, night mode, stop navigation, and GPS (screen with long. & latit., heading, speed, satellites). I haven't hit the road with it but so far so good. Right now the program is on "sale" for $49.99 for 1 year of activation with the first 7 days free of charge (you are charged after the 7 days). In case anyone asks the question. I have Chartcross GPStest and Microsoft GPSID on my phone in addition to WLS and Route 66. I run GPStest before starting Mapquest and GPSID is set to Program Port COM4, Hardware Port None, Hardware Port Baud Rate 9600, Manage Automatically is checked.
