Help. SPVE650 won't switch on

Having a very annoying issue with my SPV. The battery went completely dead yesterday so obviously the phone shut down. I have now charged it back up but the phone won't boot up. I get the orange splash screen, then the windows one, then it just just goes back to the orange one and cycles round.

If I take the SIM out it seems to boot up ok.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so do you know how I can fix this?

Pop out the SD card then boot the device
