Has anyone had to replace their m3100 recently with orange care, my m3100 is acting up and i am wondering if orange care are still sending out M3100's or now dishing out Kaizers to insurance claims?

If you claim for an SPV M3100, then an SPV M3100 is what you will get back. All the operators keep stocks of refurbished units to send out as insurance replacements, so they won't send a newer model.

If you do need to send one back, make o note of the serial number of both the device and battery- operators have been known to just do a reflash and send back the original device, which may be OK, but not if the battery is the source of the fault!

If its with Orange Care, you won't get the same device back - as Orange Care deliver the refurb'd one at the same time as they collect your broken one.

If "playing up" means a few slow downs and freezes, then I wouldn't expect a replacement until you have hard reset it and made sure it isnt just a setting problem.

when i say playing up i mean theres no signal at all on my phone and a full signal on my other M600, not often it happens but bloody annoying when it does.

He was very lucky indeed! O2's policy is the same as the others- like for like replacement, unless stocks are totally exhausted. He may simply been the 'victim' of O2's notorious inefficiency- they probably didn't twig the difference between the Orbit and the Orbit2 :( Did he get the Co-Pilot kit with his? O2 have been offering the Orbit2 with or without CPL7 (with a premium of £50 for adding CPL7) but all the devices have gone out WITH CPL7 to date regardless of order, because the specs say it is included (CPL7 is built into the ROM of the Orbit2); some even went out with a CD and a MicroSD, and O2 are now kindly requesting the return of the CD and it's installation code!

I touch Dual was stolen last week (bastards), I called Orange to blacklist, they did so and inquired if I had taken the insurance, i said no, they as if i wanted to pay for a replacement for £70, i thought it was a refurb, but aside from a scratch in the SIM case, everything feels newer than my original new one.
