Guest Mike1002 Posted March 6, 2008 Report Posted March 6, 2008 Hi, im wondering if there is an easy way for me to map say the maximum setting of my backlight to a hardware button. I want to be able to change the backlight quickly, if i go outside or something, sometimes i cant see my screen properly to get into the settings to change the backlight. Even better wolution would be - being able to use my volume slider to set thte backlight when a certain button is pressed at the same time. Anything like this, or not? Cheers for any help, Mike.
Guest Nucksta Posted March 6, 2008 Report Posted March 6, 2008 What device? Easiest way is to active sync unit, go to my device\windows, Create shortcut to Backlight.exe (if there) Paste this in appbuttons BUT rename it to the current shortcut button you are going to replace. Thats easier than doing a reg to button, Otherwise download something like AEButtons Why not map one of your soft buttons to it? [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Today\Keys\112] "Default"="Backlight" "Open"="\Windows\Backlight.exe"
