Guest Rawpulse Posted March 6, 2008 Report Posted March 6, 2008 Anybody successfully connected an MDA Vario to a BT Home Hub? I've never got it working. I had it working with the Orange Livebox I used to have. I can find the BT hub in the SSID list, but if I put in the WEP key it just goes from "Connecting" to "Available". If anybody can help me on this I'd be over the moon as this has been driving me crazy! Thanks very much for your time.

WEP or WPA-PSK (I would imagine with it being a home hub it will be set to WPA-PSK). I know that I had problems connecting my Vario II to my BT wireless router and it turned out that the Vario II did not support AES encryption - only TKIP. Downgrading the encryption to TKIP on the router allowed it to connect normally. A WM6 upgrade added AES support to the Vario II. I could well be wrong and it's nothing to do with the encryption but I would definitely start there as it is obviously seeing the router as it is requesting a network key.
