Remove Blackjack II/Jack branding

After some issues with Rogers Wireless (Canada) contracts I decided to purchase the Samsung Jack (Blackjack II in the US) phone outright with no contract. Since I purchased it outright and am on no contracts I wish remove as much rogers branding as I can from the phone. I already removed the phone startup and shutdown video. I also want to get rid of the physical branding, ex the large rogers logo at the bottom of the phone. I looked it up on the internet and came across this site Phone Debranding, does anyone know if this will work on the blackjack II?

I also wish to remove the rogers start menu icon but the delete option is grayed out for some reason (I think the icon is located in the ROM?). Does anyone know how to remove the icon?

I would begin by unlocking the phone with SurrealNetworksAppUnlock.cab and then run activesync and remotly access files. i found a lot of options (particularly when i was overhauling the shortcuts when you click start) and hidden files were available to me via the PC while some shortcuts were denied access to me if i tried to manipulate them on the phone.

I also wanted to ask you a favor and would be so incredibly apprecaitive if you could help me out with this. A LOT of people who got the i617 (Blackjack2) that is AT&T branded, cannot send/recieve MMS messages because we don't know all the settings under GPRS (accessible by start->settings->connections->GPRS), Proxy (accessible by start->settings->connections->proxy) and MMS (accessible by clicking mail button at bottom right or starting up Messages and then clicking Menu->Multimedia Msg. Options and then the sending size under "Sending options", and Multimedia Msg. Profiles).

If you would be so kind as to help us out on this, we'd be immensly grateful. (I'd have to post it on a few other sites were people are looking for this). Rogers tech support is useless. They just give out a page of settings and none of the permutation i've tried have worked.
